Sharath Sriram

Prof. Sharath Sriram is Co-Founder and Director at lubdub.ai, a pioneering Australian MedTech company developing AI-powered wearable devices for smart cardiovascular diagnostics, and serves as Chief Scientist of Western Australia.
Sharath earned his Ph.D. from RMIT University in 2009 and spent over 16 years there as a Professor, leading the Functional Materials and Microsystems Research Group and directing the Discovery to Device advanced manufacturing facility.
A former Australian Research Council Fellow, Sharath has been recognised with the 2012 NMI Prize for Measurement Excellence and a 2012 Victoria Fellowship, and was named a finalist for the InnovationAus Innovation Leader Award.
Beyond lubdub.ai, Sharath co-founded Fragment BioTech, served as President of Science and Technology Australia, and was the Founding Deputy Director of RMIT's Micro Nano Research Facility, a $60 million interdisciplinary research hub.
Lubdub was named one of the Heart Foundation's Top 10 Catalyst Partners in 2025, receiving $100,000 in seed funding, and its "heart health in a box" platform combines wearable ECG patches, saliva-based cardiac biosensors, and wearable ultrasound to enable remote heart monitoring across Australia.
