Shawn Song

Shawn Song (also known as Xuchen Song) is CEO and Co-Founder of Sonilo, the world's first professionally licensed video-to-music AI platform, building proprietary multimodal models that generate original soundtracks directly from video footage.
Shawn trained at Carnegie Mellon University and built deep expertise in multimodal AI, speech, music, and NLP, serving as a Tech Lead and Staff Research Engineer at TikTok for nearly five years.
A published researcher cited over 1,200 times in music generation and multimodal AI, Shawn brings rare technical depth to a creative problem most platforms have treated as an afterthought.
Prior to Sonilo, Shawn held senior AI roles at Mureka and Skywork AI, and led multimodal AI technology at TikTok, where he worked alongside Sonilo co-founder and CTO Alex Yin.
Sonilo raised $11 million in a Seed round led by B Capital with Redpoint participating, debuted its AI audio technology at the Venice Film Festival, and secured a landmark licensing partnership with Shutterstock.
