Shay Shwartz is Co-Founder and CEO of Ocean, the world's first agentic email security platform built to defend enterprises against AI-powered attacks, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree.

A former teen hacker turned elite cybersecurity operator, Shay spent nearly a decade in Israel's top defense and intelligence units, including projects tied to the Iron Dome, before leading security teams at Axis Security (acquired by HPE).

Drawing on his experience executing nation-state-level social engineering attacks, Shay co-founded Ocean with the conviction that pattern-based email defenses are fundamentally broken in the age of AI.

Shay co-founded Ocean in 2024 alongside CTO Oran Moyal, raising $28M across a seed round and a Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with backing from Picture Capital, Cerca Partners, and angel investors including Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport.

Within its first year, Ocean scanned over one billion emails and now processes more than one billion emails monthly, protecting hundreds of thousands of mailboxes at Fortune 500 enterprises including KAYAK, Kingston Technology, and Headspace.
