Sherwood Callaway

Sherwood Callaway is the Founder and CEO of Sazabi, an AI-native observability platform purpose-built for fast-moving engineering teams navigating the age of AI-generated code.
A 2x YC founder and a16z scout, Sherwood honed his engineering instincts over 10+ years at top startups including Brex and Crunchbase, where he helped launch the Infrastructure and Observability teams.
Sherwood's core thesis is that logs are the Occam's razor of observability: with AI, teams no longer need the traditional three-pillar stack of logs, metrics, and traces, as logs alone can power everything.
He previously founded Opkit (YC S21), a healthcare voice AI company that was acquired by 11x, where he then led AI infrastructure for Alice, one of the largest agentic systems in production.
Sazabi is backed by Y Combinator, Village Global, Agent Fund, and engineering leaders from Vercel, Graphite, LangChain, Replit, and more, positioning it as the default observability layer for the AI-written future.
