Shubho Sengupta is the Co-Founder and CTO of Axiom Math, a San Francisco-based AI lab building a self-improving, superintelligent reasoner starting with a formally verified AI mathematician.

Shubho holds an MSc in Mathematics from IIT Kharagpur, a PhD in Computer Science from UC Davis, and an MS in Mathematical Finance from Stanford, bringing rare depth across math, systems, and AI.

Shubho led the development of foundational projects including OpenGo and CrypTen at Meta FAIR, and was involved in early CUDA GPU architecture work, giving him a unique vantage point on where large models fall short.

Over eight years at Meta's FAIR lab and three years as a Research Scientist at Baidu's Silicon Valley AI Lab, Shubho built and scaled billion-dollar-plus AI research infrastructure and high-performance deep learning systems.

Axiom Math has raised $264M across a $64M Seed round and a $200M Series A led by Menlo Ventures, reaching a $1.6B valuation, with AxiomProver achieving a perfect score on the Putnam Competition and proving a 20-year-old open number theory conjecture.
