Slavko Kovačević is Co-Founder and CEO of DeepMark, which builds live watermarks for AI voice that survive phone calls. He is also a PhD candidate in Computer Science.

Slavko worked as a teaching associate at the University of Montenegro, where his research on deep learning-based audio watermarking led directly to DeepMark. He also co-founded MAIA, the Montenegrin AI Association.

He and co-founder Kosta Pavlović say they were the first in the world to create a deep learning-based audio watermarking algorithm. Slavko frames AI voice trust as an infrastructure problem, not just a cybersecurity one.

DeepMark is a Y Combinator Fall 2026 company and has raised about $1.38M from investors including Y Combinator, Katapult Accelerator and Lighthouse Ventures. Slavko leads the company from San Francisco and Montenegro.

The team's six years of watermarking research is cited by researchers at Microsoft, Meta, Sony and Adobe. DeepMark is expanding into image and video provenance, voice-agent authentication and telecom fraud prevention.
