Sonya Jin

Sonya Jin is Co-Founder of Phinity Labs, an applied research lab building foundational AI training infrastructure for autonomous chip design, backed by Uncork Capital, Moxxie, Pear, and angel investors including Jeff Dean.
Sonya studied at Stanford University and was the youngest Applied Scientist hired to the AWS AI Lab, where she conducted graph machine learning research, before serving as a Research Scientist focused on LLMs at NVIDIA.
Sonya is a Stanford dropout, an international award-winning violinist who performed solo at Carnegie Hall, a Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar, and a first-place winner at the Stanford x MIT Impactathon 2024.
At NVIDIA, Sonya built synthetic data pipelines for chip design and code reasoning LLMs; she co-founded Phinity through PearX S25 and raised $5.2M in seed funding led by Uncork Capital.
Phinity has reached 8-figures in annualized run rate, works with some of the largest foundation model labs, and delivers RL environments 7x faster with 14% better performance than human experts alone.
