Steve Romine is Co-Founder and President of Legato Audio, a Boston-based hearing technology startup pioneering the world's first AI-powered hearing glasses designed for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss.

Steve spent roughly 17 years at Bose, ultimately leading its hearing and health businesses including the launch of Bose SoundControl hearing aids, before advising Demant on the US OTC hearing aid market and serving as COO at direct-to-consumer hearing provider Audicus.

A registered patent attorney with deep expertise in hearing products, clinical operations, and commercialization, Steve brings a rare combination of regulatory, commercial, and IP strategy experience to Legato.

Steve co-founded Legato in late 2024 alongside Mehul Trivedi, channeling decades of combined Bose and hearing care expertise to build a product that merges prescription eyewear with FDA-regulated OTC hearing assistance technology.

Legato emerged from stealth in August 2026 with $12 million in seed funding and launched Legato Frames commercially in October 2026, targeting the 50 million US adults with hearing loss, of whom only 20% currently seek treatment.
