Steven Wu is Co-Founder and CTO at Scanner (Scanner.dev), a petabyte-scale security data lake platform that enables AI-driven threat hunting and detection for modern security teams.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and built his career across Amazon, Dropbox, and Accompany (acquired by Cisco), where he served as engineering lead for the data platform.

Steven previously co-founded Predictive Edge, a machine learning and economic modeling company for e-commerce that was acquired by Dropbox in 2014, demonstrating a track record of building and scaling companies to acquisition.

At Scanner, Steven leads the technical architecture of a cloud-native log search and storage system that indexes petabytes of security data in S3 for fast, full-text threat detection, with AI agents now accounting for 80% of queries on the platform.

Scanner raised a $22M Series A led by Sequoia Capital and has rapidly expanded its agentic security workflows, with nearly a third of customers adopting its MCP server in production within weeks of launch.
