Stuart Illian is Co-Founder and Chief Aviation Officer at Bluetail, a leading FAA-compliant cloud-based SaaS platform digitizing aircraft records for business aviation owners and operators.

Stuart earned a BSBA in Accounting with a minor in Aviation Management from Ohio State University and holds an FAA Commercial Pilot License, bringing a rare blend of financial acumen and hands-on aviation expertise.

With over 35 years of experience spanning aviation, high-tech, and multiple startups, Stuart co-founded Bluetail in 2019 alongside fellow former Apple executive Roberto Guerrieri to modernize the world of aircraft records management.

Stuart previously held leadership roles at Apple, Deloitte, Lockheed Martin, and Textron, and managed Apple's $100 million software business before pivoting to aviation entrepreneurship full-time.

Bluetail has processed over 21 million aircraft records representing $9 billion in asset value, earned a spot on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list with 1,258% three-year revenue growth, and was ranked 309th fastest-growing private company in America.
