Subeen Pang is Co-Founder and AI Engineer at LinqAlpha, an AI-native platform building the Alpha Intelligence Layer for global public markets, serving institutional investors across hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks.

Subeen holds a PhD in Computational Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from MIT, and a BS in Materials Science from Seoul National University, where he developed deep expertise in neural representations and context-aware search.

Subeen blends advanced computational science with practical AI engineering, having led the development of LinqAlpha's finance-specific embedding model that achieved the number 1 ranking on HuggingFace's MTEB Text Retrieval Benchmark.

Prior to LinqAlpha, Subeen served as a Graduate Research Assistant at MIT from 2018 to 2024 and led a research team at Publishd, building a strong foundation in AI-driven information retrieval and scalable systems.

LinqAlpha has raised $28.6M in total funding including a $22M Series A, serves over 70 financial institutions globally, and counts buy-side clients managing more than $5 trillion in assets.
