Sudip Roy is Co-Founder and CTO at Adaption Labs, an AI startup building systems that continuously adapt and learn in real time.

Sudip earned his PhD from Cornell University and spent seven years as a research scientist at Google before joining Cohere in 2021 as Senior Director of Inference.

Roy brings deep expertise in making AI systems run efficiently, with a focus on GPU optimization and inference computing. He co-founded Adaption Labs in September 2024 with Sara Hooker to challenge the industry's scaling paradigm.

Adaption Labs raised $50 million in seed funding led by Emergence Capital, with participation from Mozilla Ventures, Fifty Years, Threshold Ventures, and others. The company is building extremely efficient AI that adapts to real-world experiences.
