Sushil Vaishnav

Sushil Vaishnav is Co-Founder and CEO of ECOIL, a Jaipur-based waste-to-energy startup pioneering India's circular economy for used cooking oil by converting it into clean biodiesel and sustainable aviation fuel.
A food technologist with over 15 years of experience, Sushil noticed the critical health and environmental risks of improperly disposed cooking oil and, alongside co-founder Kirti Vaishnav, leveraged their backgrounds in supply chain management and blockchain technology to build a structured solution.
Sushil started ECOIL humbly, personally collecting used cooking oil on his bike one batch at a time, driven by a mission to prevent recontamination of the food chain and reduce carbon emissions across India.
ECOIL gained recognition on Shark Tank India Season 4, securing a deal at a valuation of Rs 50 crore, and has attracted backing from Shell, IIM Ahmedabad, The Chennai Angels, Caspian Impact Investment, and Momentum Capital.
ECOIL now collects approximately 400,000 kilograms of used cooking oil monthly across 16 warehouses in over 800 cities, achieving an 85% biodiesel yield and recently closing a $2.5 million Series A round to accelerate national expansion.
