Taira Fujioka is Co-Founder and CTO at Smartbase (YC P26), an AI-powered platform that automates purchase order entry for manufacturers, backed by Y Combinator.

Taira studied at UC Berkeley, where he met his co-founder Sam Goldman, and went on to become the youngest SDE 2 at AWS SageMaker Inference, building scalable AI infrastructure for enterprise clients.

Taira brings deep expertise in AI infrastructure and machine learning systems, having built and operated inference pipelines used by some of the world's most demanding enterprise organizations.

Prior to Smartbase, Taira co-founded Anytrace (YC S25), an AI support engineering agent, and has accumulated hands-on experience in both enterprise AI and early-stage startup building.

Smartbase is targeting the $26 billion clerical labor market in U.S. manufacturing, onboarding its first customers on five-figure annual contracts and eliminating manual ERP data entry for manufacturers.
