Prenaital was founded in September 2024 as a spinout from DTU and the University of Copenhagen, securing 1.57 million in total funding from BioInnovation Institute. The company's AI models can detect up to 35% more high-risk pregnancies than current clinical methods and achieved ISO 13485 certification during its first year.
Prenaital is pursuing a US-first market strategy and developing multiple AI-powered products for fetal growth assessment, preterm birth risk, and ultrasound quality assurance. The technology addresses a critical healthcare gap where over half of high-risk pregnancies currently go undetected, with potential to save significant healthcare costs and improve infant outcomes globally.
