Théophile Gervet

Theophile Gervet is Co-Founder and President of Genesis AI, a global full-stack robotics company building general-purpose robots with human-level intelligence and physical manipulation capabilities.
Theophile earned his ML PhD from Carnegie Mellon University specializing in computer vision and robotics, then served as a Research Scientist at Mistral AI where he contributed to advancing open-source AI.
Theophile champions a full-stack philosophy, believing that controlling every layer from AI to hardware is the key competitive advantage in robotics, enabling unprecedented data collection and model training at scale.
Prior to Genesis AI, Theophile contributed to landmark AI research at Meta AI and helped accelerate open-source generative AI development at Mistral AI, building deep expertise across robotics, simulation, and foundation models.
Genesis AI raised a $105M seed round co-led by Eclipse Ventures and Khosla Ventures, with backing from Eric Schmidt and Xavier Niel, and launched GENE-26.5, the first AI foundation model enabling human-level physical manipulation in robots.
