Thomas Chan is Co-Founder and CEO of Lantern AI (YC F26), an agentic recruiting platform that acts as an end-to-end AI hiring manager for enterprise teams, backed by Y Combinator in the Fall 2026 batch.

Thomas studied Law at Tsinghua University and City University of Hong Kong, Business at CUHK, and Films at the University of Melbourne, before gaining experience in investment banking at HSBC and sales and trading at Morgan Stanley.

A serial founder with two prior recruiting startups under his belt, Thomas has generated over $2M in sales and amassed 2M+ LinkedIn impressions since joining YC, reflecting his deep expertise in HR tech and talent markets.

Prior to Lantern AI, Thomas co-founded Career Hackers, a talent hub providing impactful job market resources, and has consistently operated at the intersection of AI, recruiting, and enterprise software.

Lantern AI reached $1M ARR within just 11 months of founding, sourcing candidates across 50+ data providers and running the full hiring loop from sourcing and interviews to assessments and offers.
