Timothy Eyes

Dr. Timothy Eyes is Co-Founder of Imperagen, a pioneering TechBio company spun out of the University of Manchester that uses AI and quantum physics to revolutionize enzyme engineering for pharmaceuticals, sustainable chemicals, and industrial biotech.
Dr. Eyes is an innovative biotechnologist and protein engineer with broad experience spanning both industry and academia, including biopharmaceutical development, molecular immunology, and synthetic biology at the University of Manchester's Manchester Institute of Biotechnology.
His key area of research focus is the development and engineering of therapeutic proteins, bringing critical biopharmaceutical industry expertise into academic research and ultimately into a commercial venture.
Alongside his role at Imperagen, Dr. Eyes co-founded Bright Biotech, an award-winning medtech and foodtech startup, and also created fabMOL, a venture combining molecular biology and 3D printing to produce molecular models for academic and industry clients.
Imperagen has raised a total of £8.5 million in seed funding from investors including PXN Ventures, IQ Capital, and Northern Gritstone, with its AI-guided platform demonstrating up to 677-fold improvements in enzyme performance in just five development cycles.
