Tom Montague is Co-Founder of givestar, a fundraising technology platform connecting events, fundraisers, donors and charities to power modern, cashless giving.

Tom studied Modern Languages at the University of Bristol and previously worked as an Aviation Insurance Broker at the prestigious JLT Group, where he developed sharp analytical and negotiation skills.

Tom identified that young people had not stopped caring about causes but had stopped carrying cash, leading him to co-found givestar and put the digital collection tin on the phone.

Under Tom's co-leadership, givestar secured £9 million in a round led by Mercia with participation from Love Ventures, the largest round ever completed by a UK fundraising technology platform.

givestar now serves nearly 800,000 user accounts, has helped raise over $70 million for more than 4,000 charities, and counts Spartan, Tough Mudder and Charity Challenge among its major event partners.
