Tomas Becklin

Tomas Becklin is Co-Founder and CTO at Flox Intelligence, an AI-powered wildlife intelligence company that uses bioacoustics and edge computing to prevent human-wildlife conflicts across critical infrastructure. He oversees technical development from the Stockholm office while the company scales operations across North America.
Tomas spent 25 years building software in Silicon Valley, where he was one of the first engineers at MySpace, helping scale the platform to over 100 million users. He also held major roles at Disney and served as VP of Engineering at Zeitview (formerly DroneBase), and co-founded previous ventures including 2Heal Medical AB and StandUp Lab.
Tomas has achieved a 95% success rate with Flox's edge-based AI system and led the development of patent-protected sensor technology that significantly extends detection range. The company was recognized as Startup Company of the Year at Techarena and has logged over 60,000 wildlife interactions across 27 species.
Flox Intelligence raised 3M in Seed+ funding in February 2026 led by Tilia Impact Ventures, following a 1M Seed round in 2025. The company emerged from AI research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and now serves airports, railways, and transportation infrastructure across the U.S. and Canada.
Flox Intelligence's Edge system operates 24/7 in harsh environments and has been deployed across airports, rail corridors, and road networks to reduce wildlife collisions that cost over 10 billion annually in the U.S. alone. The platform provides real-time wildlife intelligence that enables safer coexistence between infrastructure and ecosystems.
