Tony Montoye is CEO and co-founder of SpectaCell, a Belgian life sciences startup developing a next-generation cell analysis platform to accelerate immunotherapy drug development.

A PhD-level biochemist from Ghent University, Tony built over two decades of expertise in life sciences, holding senior roles at VIB, Unchained Labs, Trinean and AnaBioTec, and completing executive management training at Vlerick Business School.

Tony founded Forward Bio BV prior to SpectaCell, channeling his passion for bridging cutting-edge biotechnology with commercial strategy to bring better medicines to more patients faster.

SpectaCell spun out of a landmark collaboration between imec, VIB and Ghent University, and secured a 6 million euro Seed round led by imec.xpand with participation from PMV's Flanders Future Tech Fund, InnovationQuarter Capital, Qbic and VIB.

SpectaCell's label-free, chip-based platform delivers single-cell insights within hours rather than days, targeting biopharma and biotech companies worldwide with a unified solution spanning early R&D through to manufacturing quality control.
