Tyler Bosmeny

Tyler Bosmeny is General Partner at Y Combinator, where he mentors early-stage startups and helps founders build thriving businesses. He previously co-founded and served as CEO of Clever, an education technology company acquired by Kahoot for $500 million in 2021.
Tyler graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Applied Mathematics and MA in Statistics. Prior to founding Clever in 2012, he was Vice President of Sales at PaperG.
Tyler was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 for Education alongside his co-founders. His famous How to Sell class remains one of YC's most-watched videos and he is recognized as one of the best sales leaders in the startup ecosystem.
Clever was accepted into Y Combinator in 2012 and grew from 1,000 schools at Demo Day to serving over 60% of K-12 students in the United States. The company raised approximately $43 million in funding and achieved cash flow neutrality starting in 2016.
Under Tyler's leadership for 10 years, Clever became an educational powerhouse used daily by over half of all K-12 students in America. In 2017, Clever was ranked number four in The Wall Street Journal's Tech Companies to Watch, demonstrating its massive impact on education technology.
