Tymek Staniszewski

Tymek Staniszewski is Co-Founder of LATO (YC S26), an agent-native research and simulation platform that helps investors build deep market conviction faster and at a fraction of the cost.
Tymek studied CS, Math, and Philosophy at the University of Warsaw, then spent 6 years in growth and private equity at Verdane, a firm with $11bn AUM, before transitioning into ML and software engineering roles across enterprise R&D and research labs.
Drawing on his investing background, Tymek identified that deep market understanding is slow and expensive to build, with a single commercial study costing $300k or more and taking weeks to complete. LATO was built to solve this problem at scale using AI-driven research and market simulation.
LATO was accepted into Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch, where Tymek and co-founder Tien Chu are working with YC Partner Gustaf Alstroemer. The company has already attracted praise from investment principals and managing directors across multiple deals and geographies.
LATO has been featured in Built in Europe as one of 100 founders defining European tech, and its platform has demonstrated the ability to surface hard-to-reach market participants globally, including expert candidates in Japan from local sources.
