Dr. Tim Junio is the Co-Founder and CEO of Expanse (also known as Qadium), a pioneering cybersecurity company and leader in Internet Operations Management and attack surface management.
Tim holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Johns Hopkins University, and served as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University where he remains an affiliate.
Prior to founding Expanse, Tim worked at the CIA, RAND Corporation, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and DARPA, giving him a rare intelligence-grade perspective on global cyber threats.
Tim co-founded Expanse in 2012 alongside Matt Kraning, growing the company to over $135M in total funding including a $70M raise and a landmark $37M Department of Defense contract.
Expanse was acquired by Palo Alto Networks in December 2020 for approximately $800M, with Tim joining as SVP of Products for Cortex after the deal closed.
