V'yacheslav Shvaydak

V'yacheslav Shvaydak, Ph.D., is Co-Founder and CEO of Dropla Tech, a Danish-Ukrainian defense technology company developing AI-powered autonomous systems for explosive threat detection and humanitarian demining. The former Ukrainian lieutenant founded the company in 2023 with three co-founders to address Ukraine's critical landmine crisis.
V'yacheslav earned his Ph.D. from Dnipro University of Technology and previously worked as Revenue Growth Strategist at Your.Rentals, where he conducted investment cashflow research and managed analytics for over 20,000 short-term rental listings. He brings academic expertise in investment research combined with technical knowledge in AI and robotics.
V'yacheslav relocated Dropla's headquarters to Odense, Denmark, calling it the Florence of robotics, to access Europe's leading robotics ecosystem while maintaining R&D operations in Ukraine. The company has built Europe's largest real-world landmine detection dataset with over 170 confirmed explosive targets at their dedicated testing site.
Under V'yacheslav's leadership, Dropla Tech raised 2.4 million euros in pre-seed funding from EIFO, Maj Invest, and Final Frontier in August 2025. The company's flagship product, Blue Eyes, uses edge-based AI to detect landmines, IEDs, and ambush drones with sub-15cm accuracy without requiring cloud connectivity.
Dropla's technology aims to reduce demining costs from 1-3 euros per square meter to just 10 cents, potentially cutting Ukraine's 70-year demining timeline to 12 years. The company's systems are currently being tested by Ukrainian government demining organizations and integrate with existing drone platforms used by defense forces.
