Vahe Tshitoyan is Co-Founder and CTO at Sela AI, the market-leading voice AI platform purpose-built for mortgage lenders, enabling loan officers to originate more loans at scale through intelligent AI agents.
Vahe earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and completed postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, before joining Google as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Tech Lead.
Vahe is the lead author of a landmark 2019 Nature paper on unsupervised word embeddings in materials science, a study that garnered nearly 3,000 citations and demonstrated AI's power to surface hidden scientific knowledge from millions of research abstracts.
At Sela, Vahe leads all AI and engineering efforts, applying deep expertise in ML, NLP, and production systems to build voice agents that hold millions of real borrower conversations and seamlessly connect qualified leads to loan officers.
Sela's AI agents now help originate over $1 billion in new mortgages per month, and the company crossed $10 million in annualized run-rate revenue within just 18 months, with six of the ten largest independent mortgage banks running Sela in production.
