Vaibhav Agrawal

Vaibhav Agrawal is Co-Founder of BaseFrame (YC W26), an AI agent platform for hardware design teams that identifies design gaps, tradeoffs, and component availability issues before the first board is spun. BaseFrame helps hardware teams catch fatal mistakes while they are still cheap to fix.
Vaibhav studied EECS and Business at UC Berkeley M.E.T. and was the first full-time employee and founding engineer at HappyRobot, where he worked on omni-channel AI communication, AI evals, and enterprise system integrations.
At HappyRobot, Vaibhav helped scale the company from Seed to Series B and grow to over 100 employees. He also gained experience scaling virtual agents at Augment Code, a Series B AI code company.
BaseFrame is part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch and is building AI agents that help hardware teams build more efficiently. The company focuses on catching design errors early in the development process when they are least expensive to fix.
BaseFrame operates in the hardware design and workflow automation space, helping engineering teams prevent costly mistakes and accelerate product development. The company is based in San Francisco and leverages AI to transform how hardware products are designed and validated.
