Vanessa Galarneau

Vanessa Galarneau is Co-Founder and CFO at Pluvo, an AI-native decision intelligence platform that helps finance teams make faster, smarter decisions by connecting strategy, operations, and financials. She is based in San Francisco and studied at Universite Laval and HEC Montreal.
Before co-founding Pluvo, Vanessa served as CFO at Rain Technologies and worked in finance at Norton Rose Fulbright, Canada's largest law firm. Her finance expertise helped shape Pluvo's product to solve real CFO pain points.
Vanessa led Pluvo's acceptance into Andreessen Horowitz's a16z speedrun program, selected from over 19,000 companies. She spearheaded the company's expansion to San Francisco to support U.S.-based customers and go-to-market strategy.
Pluvo raised $5M in seed funding from a16z speedrun, Deel, StandUp Ventures, and AltaIR Capital in February 2026. The company was also an alumnus of Alchemist Accelerator and won Best Ottawa Business Award.
Pluvo serves growth-stage and mid-market companies with its System of Judgment platform that captures decisions, context, and institutional memory. The platform uses AI to transform financial data into decision-grade analysis for CFOs and finance teams.
