Varun Arumugam is Co-Founder at Zomma (YC S26), a fintech AI company building Computer Use Agents that automate repetitive back-office operations for hedge funds, asset managers, and fintech firms.

Varun earned both his MS and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, before going on to work as a Software Engineer at Apple on verification infrastructure.

With a background spanning enterprise engineering, ML research, and prior startup experience including one exit, Varun brings deep technical expertise and a builder's mindset to solving automation challenges that traditional APIs cannot address.

Prior to Zomma, Varun served as Founding ML Engineer at Bronco AI, where he built agents for chip design verification, and earlier held a software engineering role at Apple focused on verification infrastructure.

Zomma's agents tackle previously unautomatable workflows including reconciliation, KYC, client onboarding, and investor reporting, operating directly on existing screens with no integration required and human approval built into every step.
