Walton holds an M.A. in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics, and built a career as a quantitative finance pioneer and algorithmic trader.
A trailblazer in cryptofinance, Walton was among the first algorithmic traders to provide liquidity to major crypto exchanges and was a key figure in shaping the CME strategy for crypto futures.
Walton co-founded XBTO Group, a global leader in cryptocurrency trading whose early investment in Deribit yielded a $3B exit to Coinbase, and previously served as VP of Risk at SAC Capital and Director of Research at Thornhill Partners.
Molt AI launched Fisher, its flagship Agent Assurance Assessment tool, in August 2026 and closed a $1M pre-seed round, addressing a critical gap where only 1% of large organizations have reached AI governance maturity.
