William Golden

William Golden served as Former CEO of UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual, a $60 billion division serving over 27 million members during his 25-year tenure at UnitedHealthcare.
Golden graduated from Hofstra University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in Finance and held sales leadership positions at Oxford Health Plans, NYLCare, and MetLife before joining UnitedHealthcare through the Oxford acquisition in 2004.
Golden sits on the Dean's Advisory Board for Hofstra's Zarb School of Business and serves on the board of Each One Counts Foundation, supporting children with terminal or chronic illness.
As Local Markets CEO, Golden managed $48 billion in revenue, 250,000 employer groups, and 15 million members across 24 health plans in four regions. He also served as Northeast Regional CEO and New York Health Plan CEO for eight years.
After retiring from UnitedHealthcare, Golden now serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Quantum Health and as a board member at TapestryHealth, advising private equity groups and healthcare startups on strategic growth initiatives.
