Willow Bay

Willow Bay is Controlling Owner of Angel City FC, the most valuable women's professional sports team in the world valued at $250 million, and Dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She leads the school's 200+ faculty and staff and 2,500+ students across communication, journalism, public relations and public diplomacy.
Bay began her career as a model with Ford Models and spokesperson for Estee Lauder before transitioning to broadcast journalism, becoming the first woman to co-anchor CNN's Moneyline and working at ABC News, NBC, and The Huffington Post. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in literature and earned her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
Bay acquired Angel City FC in 2024 with husband Bob Iger, investing an additional $50 million to support the club's growth and making it the highest valuation in women's sports history. She serves as the Controlling Owner for the NWSL and represents ACFC on the league's Board of Governors.
Under Bay's leadership, Angel City FC has achieved the highest sponsorship revenue, attendance, ticketing revenue, and brand recognition in the NWSL, generating $31 million in revenue in 2023, nearly double the next closest team. The team ranks first in NWSL attendance with an average of 19,499 fans per game in 2024.
Bay has dedicated nearly three decades to the Los Angeles community as a resident, leader, and philanthropist, and has led USC Annenberg since 2017, launching curricular innovations and advancing research on communication technology, digital media literacy, and gender equity in media. Her work has attracted global influencers including Hillary Clinton, Satya Nadella, and the Dalai Lama to campus.
