Wilson Xu is Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer at Cylake, an AI-native cybersecurity company built for the world's largest and most regulated institutions requiring total data sovereignty.
Wilson holds an MS in Computer Science from Penn State University and a BE in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, and previously held engineering and management roles at Juniper Networks, NetScreen Technologies, and Network Associates.
Wilson joined Palo Alto Networks in 2006 as part of the founding engineering team and rose to become EVP of Engineering, helping scale the company into one of the most valuable cybersecurity firms in the world.
At Cylake, Wilson co-leads the development of a complete, AI-native cybersecurity architecture featuring agentic workflows built on a single sovereign data foundation, designed for on-premises and private cloud environments.
Cylake launched in 2026 with a $45M seed round led by Greylock Partners, targeting a largely underserved market of governments, defense contractors, and regulated industries that cannot rely on public cloud security solutions.
