Xavier Laguarta Soler

Xavier Laguarta Soler is Co-Founder of Mitti Labs, a deep-tech climate company leveraging AI, satellite technology, and field operations to permanently reduce methane emissions from rice farming and build water resilience across Asia.
Xavier earned his MBA from Harvard Business School (2021-2023) and previously held roles at SYSTEMIQ Ltd., L.E.K. Consulting, and InAGlobe Education, building expertise at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, and systems change.
Xavier champions the use of proprietary GeoAI and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite data to generate digital twins of individual rice plots, enabling precise measurement of emissions and water use at country scale.
Under Xavier's co-leadership, Mitti Labs raised $12.5M in total funding, including a $9.5M Series A led by Aramco Ventures alongside Lightspeed India, Godrej Industries Group, and Cisco Foundation, with the GeoAI platform developed in partnership with NASA.
Mitti Labs has scaled from 8,000 farmers in its first season to over 100,000 across India, with ambitions to reach millions of smallholder farmers by 2030 and expansion underway into the Philippines and Indonesia.
