Yu Pan is the CEO and Co-Founder of Mindy, an email-first AI Chief of Staff platform designed to make generative AI accessible to everyone without requiring prompt engineering expertise.

Yu earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and went on to become one of the six original founding engineers at PayPal, then the very first engineer at YouTube where he built the iconic embedded video player.

Yu has consistently identified inflection points in consumer technology, from pioneering digital payments at PayPal to igniting viral video growth at YouTube, and now reimagining AI productivity through the familiar medium of email.

Prior to Mindy, Yu served as CTO at KiwiCo (which he co-founded), worked at Affirm building e-commerce payment integrations, and served as lead R&D Engineer at Origin Protocol in the blockchain space.

Mindy raised a $6M seed round led by Sequoia Capital (with Roelof Botha) and Founders Fund, attracting a diverse user base spanning financial analysts, students, and defense contractors across its email-based AI assistant platform.
