Yukun Yin is Co-Founder and CTO at Charter Space, an El Segundo-based startup building mission management software and insurance brokerage services for the commercial space and defense sectors.

Yukun holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Singapore Management University and served as a Specialist Mechanized Engineer in the Singapore Armed Forces, before working as a Technical Analyst at Credit Suisse, where he built data streaming and compliance infrastructure achieving 99.999% uptime across three continents.

A seasoned full-stack engineer specializing in scalable enterprise systems, Yukun has authored research published by IEEE and brings a rare combination of military discipline, fintech infrastructure expertise, and deep software engineering to the space industry.

Prior to Charter Space, Yukun served as Tech Lead at ME3 (acquired by EVOS Esports), where he built DevOps and development infrastructure, and also contributed to early-stage Y Combinator startups via Airfoil Studio.

Charter Space has raised $8 million in total funding, now serves over 50 companies across the U.S. space and defense industrial base, and was a TechCrunch Startup Battlefield finalist in 2025.
