Zach Lloyd

Zach Lloyd is the Founder and CEO of Warp, a company reimagining the terminal as an AI-native Agentic Development Environment for modern developers.
Zach spent over 7 years as a Principal Engineer at Google, where he led development of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and later served as Interim CTO at TIME magazine.
Inspired by the lack of innovation in developer tooling over 40 years, Zach set out to rebuild the terminal from the ground up using Rust and GPU rendering, bringing a Google Docs-era collaboration mindset to the command line.
Prior to Warp, Zach co-founded SelfMade, a venture-backed startup in New York City, giving him firsthand founder experience before launching Warp in 2020.
Warp has raised $73M from Sequoia Capital, GV, and Dylan Field, grown to over 500,000 active developers, and now adds $1M in ARR every 5 to 6 days, with agents editing 3.2 billion lines of code in 2025 alone.
