Evorra raises $3.2M for privacy-first marketing data platform

York IE leads seed round for UK startup building independent data infrastructure as advertisers navigate post-cookie landscape and privacy regulations.

Evorra raises $3.2M for privacy-first marketing data platform

Evorra, a London startup trying to help advertisers navigate a privacy landscape that keeps shifting beneath their feet, said Monday it has raised $3.2 million in seed funding. York IE led the round, returning after anchoring the company's $1 million pre-seed confirmed on Aug 30, 2022. FirstPartyCapital joined again, alongside V-Ventures (the investment arm of Dutch media foundation Stichting Veronica), Advanceo Capital, EnterpriseTech 34, and a handful of unnamed angels from data and media circles.

Founded in 2020, Evorra builds what it describes as "identity-agnostic" data infrastructure for advertisers—a platform designed to help brands stitch together audience signals from multiple sources without leaning on a single identifier like the cookie. The company said it will deploy the fresh capital to speed up product development and broaden its network of data providers. Revenue has climbed 4x year-over-year on an annualized basis, according to the company, though Evorra declined to share its valuation.

The funding arrives as the advertising industry finds itself in a prolonged state of uncertainty. Google had originally signaled it would deprecate third-party cookies in Chrome, setting off years of scrambling among marketers to find alternative targeting methods. Then in April 2025, the search giant reversed course, announcing it would keep its current approach rather than rolling out a new opt-out prompt. The result: a market that prepared for upheaval but never quite got the clean break it anticipated.

Building Without a Backbone

According to Evorra, its pitch centers on the idea that advertisers shouldn't have to pick sides in the identity wars. Its platform allows brands and agencies to construct, govern, and activate audiences across major channels—Meta, Google's DV360, Amazon Ads, The Trade Desk—without committing to any single ID system. Instead, it layers data signals from various sources, with what the company calls transparency around where those signals originated.

"We started Evorra because while data was becoming more critical for digital marketing, it was becoming a lot harder to manage efficiently," said Aaron Ritoper, co-founder and CEO, in the announcement.

Ritoper brings a résumé that touches several corners of travel and ad tech: roles at Sojern, Travelzoo, Skyscanner, Amadeus, and HP. His co-founder Warren Chang previously ran operations at Cox & Kings Americas and launched Fly.com. Chief Technology Officer Alain Peyrat came from the telecom side, with stints at Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia.

Finding Footing with Independents

The company has been building momentum among independent agencies in the UK. In late June, Evorra announced an exclusive partnership with the Alliance of Media Independents, a trade group representing more than 40 shops. The first batch of agencies to adopt the platform includes The Specialist Works, VCCP Media, Mostly Media, MI Media, AMS Media Group, and The Grove Media.

"Provable effectiveness is top of the list for our members' clients," Martin Woolley, the alliance's chair, said at the time.

Three weeks after that deal, Evorra linked up with Adstra, a U.S. data provider, to offer what both companies framed as independent, privacy-compliant infrastructure for audience assembly and CRM enrichment. Earlier partnerships this year included an integration with LoopMe to push audience profiles into social channels, and a February tie-up with ID5, a cookieless identity vendor.

Evorra also lists activation partnerships with The Trade Desk, PubMatic, Magnite, and Equativ, plus data relationships with Experian, Nielsen, ShareThis, and Verisk—a roster that suggests the company is threading together a network rather than building a walled garden of its own.

The Infrastructure Bet

Marshall Everson, a general partner at York IE, framed the investment around a capability gap. Very few buyers, he argued, can build enterprise-grade data infrastructure themselves. That's why his firm backed Evorra twice.

The competitive landscape remains crowded, with identity solutions proliferating even as the cookie persists. But for York IE and the other investors, the bet seems to hinge on a belief that advertisers want optionality more than they want a single solution—and that managing that optionality requires middleware that most companies don't want to build in-house.

Whether Evorra can carve out a defensible position in that middle layer will likely depend on how quickly it can onboard data providers and prove that its infrastructure actually simplifies what remains, despite Google's U-turn, a genuinely complicated technical challenge.
