Aetherflux
Founders
Aetherflux is a U.S. aerospace and renewable energy company commercializing space-based solar power. The company is building a constellation of low-Earth-orbit satellites that collect solar energy via solar panels and transmit it back to Earth through infrared lasers, targeting remote military operations, disaster zones, and off-grid locations. Its novel approach uses LEO orbits and laser transmission rather than the microwave-based geostationary methods explored by governments and universities. Backed by the U.S. Department of Defense and top-tier venture investors, Aetherflux is planning its first Mission 1 power-beaming demonstration in 2026 and is expanding with a new satellite development hub in Seattle.
