Capture6 is a water-positive carbon removal company based in Berkeley, California and New Zealand. Its proprietary Direct Air Capture technology transforms waste brine from water treatment and desalination facilities into a solvent that mineralizes CO2 in a single step, simultaneously recovering freshwater, producing green chemicals, and generating carbon removal credits. Unlike energy-intensive traditional DAC methods, Capture6 integrates directly with existing industrial water infrastructure, making carbon removal commercially viable today. The company has announced four facilities across three continents and is developing a global pipeline with partners in the U.S., South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East.
