CarbonStrong is a Bengaluru-based climate-tech startup that develops low-carbon binders by upcycling industrial waste streams such as fly ash, steel slag, and copper slag to replace up to 50% of the cement used in concrete. Its solution is approximately 30% cheaper than cement, improves concrete durability, and integrates seamlessly into existing concrete plants without requiring new equipment. The company is targeting commercial-scale production with an ambition of 10 million tonnes per year by 2035, addressing a market estimated at Rs 25,000 crore by 2030.
