Channel Robotics
Channel Robotics is a surgical robotics company developing a handheld, AI-enhanced robotic system that interfaces directly with existing endoscopes, delivering robotic-grade precision at a fraction of the cost and complexity of traditional robotic platforms. Founded by physician-scientist Dr. Philip Weissbrod and robotics professor Michael Yip, the company emerged from UC San Diego and is backed by over seven years of NIH-funded research. It is currently in late-prototype and design-stabilization phase, targeting an FDA 510(k) submission and a Series A raise to support commercial launch.
