Founders
Frontier Computing is a Cambridge-based biocomputing company growing large-scale neuronal tissue as living hardware for ML training and inference. By collocating memory and compute at the cellular level, Frontier's biological neural nets overcome the fundamental bottlenecks of GPU architecture, enabling training of models at parameter counts and sample efficiencies inaccessible to traditional compute clusters. Backed by Y Combinator (S26) and General Catalyst, the company is scaling toward a 500M-neuron cluster and building the leading platform in biological computation.
