Rainbow Crops is a next-generation AgTech company and VIB spin-off headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, developing climate-resilient, high-performing crop varieties through its proprietary Trait Foundry platform. The platform integrates AI models trained on plant omics data, multiplex genome editing, precision breeding, and automated phenotyping to engineer complex polygenic agronomic traits such as drought tolerance, heat resilience, and input efficiency that have long been difficult to address through conventional breeding. Backed by leading European investors and a Gates Foundation grant, Rainbow Crops partners with major seed companies to deploy enhanced genetics at scale.
