Founders
Sandbar is a New York-based AI wearable startup founded by former Meta engineers Mina Fahmi and Kirak Hong. The company's flagship product, the Stream Ring, is an AI-powered voice note-taking smart ring featuring a touch-sensitive panel and proximity-tuned microphone, designed to help users capture ideas, chat with an AI assistant, and take action on notes in a private, socially acceptable way. Sandbar spent over two years in stealth developing fully custom hardware before emerging publicly, and has raised $36M in total funding to scale its engineering and product teams ahead of a planned summer 2026 launch.
