Mina Fahmi

Mina Fahmi is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sandbar, a New York-based AI wearable company on a mission to bridge the gap between humans and AI through intuitive hardware interfaces.
Mina studied at MIT and built deep expertise in human-computer interaction through roles at CTRL-labs (acquired by Meta), Meta as a Product Manager, and internships at Magic Leap, Kernel, and the MIT Media Lab.
Mina believes the ring is the most natural and socially acceptable form factor for AI wearables, championing a push-to-talk, privacy-first design philosophy that keeps humans firmly in control.
At CTRL-labs, Mina worked on technology designed to translate human intent into digital actions, which directly shaped Sandbar's focus on building more natural computing interfaces. He also worked as an Associate at Alsop Louie Partners, investing in early-stage tech firms.
Sandbar has raised $36M in total funding, including a $23M Series A led by Adjacent and Kindred Ventures, with the Stream Ring selling out its first pre-order batch and attracting users who engage with the device over 50 times daily.
