Satellites on Fire is an Argentine climate-tech startup that has built an AI-powered wildfire detection platform integrating multi-source satellite imagery, tower cameras, fire propagation modelling, and real-time alerts via WhatsApp, email, and SMS. The system detects wildfires an average of 35 minutes ahead of NASA's FIRMS service and operates across 21 countries on four continents, serving forestry companies, agricultural producers, utilities, insurers, carbon credit projects, and government agencies. Founded as a school project in 2020 and rebuilt from scratch after 80+ interviews with firefighters, the platform has grown to over 55,000 users and is now expanding into the US market with pilots underway and a partnership with Watch Duty.
