Tastee Tape is a sustainable manufacturing company developing a patent-pending, edible and fully biodegradable food packaging film made from plant fibers. Designed to replace PFAS-leaching plastic wraps used by food and CPG businesses, the product is food-safe, moisture-proof, and can be produced at cost parity with conventional petrochemical films. Originally conceived as an edible tape to keep burritos intact, the technology has evolved into a scalable alternative to the 12-15 billion pounds of food packaging film used annually in the US, less than 5% of which is recycled.
