Dr. Pablo Sobron

Dr. Pablo Sobron is Co-Founder and board member of TerraBlaster, an agtech company applying NASA-developed Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) to deliver real-time soil nutrient intelligence for row-crop farmers.
A native of Spain, Dr. Sobron earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Valladolid in 2008, then conducted postdoctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis before working as a research scientist at NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, and the SETI Institute.
Dr. Sobron is a world-leading expert in LIBS spectroscopy with over 100 publications and patents, and his sensing technology has been deployed on NASA's Curiosity, Perseverance, and Rosalind Franklin rover missions.
In 2016, Dr. Sobron founded Impossible Sensing to commercialize space-grade spectroscopic sensors across energy, agriculture, and critical minerals markets, and later co-founded TerraBlaster to focus LIBS technology specifically on precision agriculture.
TerraBlaster has raised $16.5M in total funding, including a $12.5M seed round, to bring real-time subterranean soil sensing to global commercial farming networks and address the $14B+ precision agriculture market.
