Eugene Cheah is Co-Founder and CEO of Featherless AI (formerly Recursal.ai), a serverless AI inference platform democratizing access to open-source AI models globally.

Eugene studied at the National University of Singapore and previously co-founded Uilicious, a UI testing automation company, where he served as CTO, and is the creator of GPU.js.

A repeat founder with exits, Eugene is a co-lead of the RWKV open-source AI project under the Linux Foundation, and has represented AI startups at the ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting.

Eugene co-founded Featherless AI in 2023 alongside Harrison Vanderbyl and Wesley George, raising a $5M Seed round in March 2025 followed by a $20M Series A co-led by AMD Ventures and Airbus Ventures in 2026.

Featherless AI now supports over 30,000 open-source AI models, serves enterprises and developers globally across San Francisco, Toronto, Singapore, and Europe, and is building the neutral infrastructure layer for open-source AI.
